This saber chain was used to suspend a saber as part of the ceremonial uniform of the American Freemasons.
On one side, two short chains were used to suspend the saber at two points, while on the other side, this long chain was draped in a bow shape from the belt to the waist to create a symmetrical design. The design is based on the saber chains used by the Knights Templar, who are considered the origin of the Freemasons. It features an elaborate structure with cylindrical metal decorations placed across the chain like a ladder. The part that attaches to the waist belt is adorned with a cross and crown, along with armor holding two swords, creating a highly valiant and sublime design. The snap hook at the end is a screw-type to prevent accidental opening.

A wonderful item that pairs perfectly even with modern jeans.
