The School of Fontainebleau was an artistic collective born in the 16th century when Italian geniuses were invited to the French court.
Fusing the nobility of the Renaissance with the sensual beauty of elongated physiques, they adorned the court with resplendent magnificence.

What they created was a realm of graceful mythological deities and visionary, mysterious decorative motifs. Born from the intersection of French sensibility and the Mannerist masters summoned from Italy, this style invites the viewer into a noble, extraordinary realm.
