The Roulin family, the postman's family who poured unconditional love and friendship into Van Gogh, who was fighting a lonely battle in Arles in the South of France.

This family warmly welcomed Van Gogh, who was often isolated and treated as an eccentric by those around him, and continued to support him without prejudice even when he was mentally cornered. They were the only emotional support for Van Gogh during his Arles period.
